with joyful hearts we invite thee to gather with us as we pledge our vows and begin this new chapter together.
On the fifth day of June, in the year of our Lord MMXXVII, we shall be wed within the walls of Castle Waldburg. There, among stone, candlelight, music, and merriment, we hope to celebrate not only our marriage, but the company of those we hold most dear.
Come witness our vows, share in the feast, raise a cup, and dance with us into the night.

As lovers of history, old halls, and tales from centuries past, we ask all guests to join us in medieval-inspired attire.
Think flowing gowns, linen shirts, long skirts, tunics, cloaks, vests, belts, boots, circlets, braids, natural fabrics, rich colours, and garments fit for a castle feast.
This need not be a perfect historical reconstruction. We welcome anything inspired by the Middle Ages, whether noble, rustic, romantic, scholarly, knightly, bardic, or simply touched with old-world charm.
Above all, come dressed in a way that lets thee celebrate comfortably.

The Eve Before: Friday, 4 June
Wouldst thou arrive a day early? Then come and sit by the fire with us. On the eve of the wedding, Franziska's kin shall gather in her hometown for a quiet evening of barbecue, cold beer, and crackling flames. No feast, no finery, only good company beneath the open sky. It is a chance to see where Franziska grew up and to meet the family before the great day.
The Morrow After: Sunday, 6 June
Should thy road allow thee to linger after the wedding, we propose a small adventure: a journey to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, at the foot of the Alps, to behold the Partnachklamm. Here a wild mountain river has carved a deep gorge through the rock, its green waters thundering between cliffs that tower overhead. A path hewn into the stone leads thee straight through the heart of it, with spray upon thy face and the roar of the torrent all around. Come early summer, the waters run high and fierce, a fitting way to greet the day after a night of dancing.
Lodging Near Franziska's Hometown
Art thou drawn to the Friday fire or the Sunday adventure? If interested, let us know and we shall organize a hotel close to Franziska's parents, near Weilheim, so that we may all stay together. Shouldst thou prefer to book thine own lodging, that is the region to seek. Those who lodge in this region shall also be carried to the castle and back by shuttle bus on the wedding day.
For Those Who Cross the Sea
To those travelling from lands far beyond the sea, whose journey is already great: should thou wish it, a place beneath the roof of Franziska's parents may be found for thee, with no coin asked. Simply speak to us, and we shall see it arranged.
Lodging Near the Castle
Prefer to rest near the walls of Waldburg itself? The closest inn is Krone Waldburg, just by the castle. The nearby town of Ravensburg also offers many lodgings. Should thou need help with booking, do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Shuttle
On the day of the wedding, a shuttle bus shall run from Franziska's hometown to Castle Waldburg and back again, and we shall arrange it so that guests lodging nearby, around Weilheim, are gathered along the way. Thus none who stay there need fear the road. Further word on the hour and place of departure shall be shared once plans are confirmed.

Shouldst thou wish to honour us further, a small contribution to our future adventures would be warmly received. Yet let it be known with full hearts: no gift is expected, especially from those who travel far to be with us. We ask all guests to join us in medieval-inspired attire. It does not need to be historically perfect. A touch of medieval charm is enough.

Please list any allergies or dietary restrictions in thy RSVP, and we shall do our best to accommodate them.
When should I RSVP?
We kindly ask that thou send thy reply before the beginning of the new year, so that preparations for the feast may be made in good order. The form shall remain open.
